I like this one a lot, might have to do a formal, larger version when I have time :)

Sketckbook pages
The octopus is still a work in progress. Considering converting it into a linoleum block.
And zeppelins, because they are awesome.
Hope everyone's having an awesome weekend, as soon as research starts wrapping up I'll be here more frequently, though still going to try for daily, or every other day pictures from this sketchbook.
Bees to organize (There's a light at the end of this tunnel now!) and jobs to apply for, see y'all later :)

Zephyr
This page isn't quite finished, but there's a 4 hour car ride up to Saranac Lake at noon and this will be welcome entertainment. Another bit based on a dream, and I'm hopeing to bring this to life as a mask in reds and oranges and bronzes over the summer.

Venus, crocodile skinned and globular heads
Only one month less before the semester is over, and I can tell... Two research projects (salamanders and bees) that I'm trying to finish before the semester, as well as two major class projects that need to be finished in the next two weeks next to NEAFWA Sunday-Tuesday and presenting a poster on Wednesday...
But, I have a new sketchbook, and I love it. I've been giving myself a little time everyday to fill up a page. Going to try to keep this up until it's full.
A lot of these will be dream-based. I don't know what it is about spring but I always have weird dreams. It's pleasant however, and means that I'm actually sleeping for once.
Also my clouds *Squees like a professional* I've hated drawing clouds in the past because I could never get them the way I saw them in my head. Luckily that has finally changed, what is in my head is now on paper, and it's getting easier.
Bree out :)

The outside is crocodile-textured and it feels like it's padded... Not to mention that it fits in my clutch, so I'll be bringing it to NEAFWA (New York Association of Fisf and Wildlife something-or-another, Professionals perhaps? It's phonetic... and confusing). You have to prioritize these kinds of things ;) Plus I can stash my resume copies in it. Keep 'em safe.

Like I said, I have wierd dreams and this popped into my head. Don't ask.
And my "Venus" girl has been finished. The camera really doesn't capture the color right, which is a shame, it looks more vibrant in person. Mmmmmm, coloered pencil.
And finally, a sneak peak of something I've been working on the last week or so. Not my usual thing, but I like it. Wings are a pain to draw though, I'm out of practice I think... Or maybe it was just figuring out the positioning of three sets... Doubt there are many referances for that in the natural world (Although if someone finds a taxidermy piece with three wings you will be my hero).
Going to try to finish this before classes end, as well as the other landscape that is in progress. Might also try to post daily or every-other-daily sketchbook pages, keep up the motivation. Woot!Bree out :)
