But, I have a new sketchbook, and I love it. I've been giving myself a little time everyday to fill up a page. Going to try to keep this up until it's full.
The outside is crocodile-textured and it feels like it's padded... Not to mention that it fits in my clutch, so I'll be bringing it to NEAFWA (New York Association of Fisf and Wildlife something-or-another, Professionals perhaps? It's phonetic... and confusing). You have to prioritize these kinds of things ;) Plus I can stash my resume copies in it. Keep 'em safe.
A lot of these will be dream-based. I don't know what it is about spring but I always have weird dreams. It's pleasant however, and means that I'm actually sleeping for once.
Also my clouds *Squees like a professional* I've hated drawing clouds in the past because I could never get them the way I saw them in my head. Luckily that has finally changed, what is in my head is now on paper, and it's getting easier.
Like I said, I have wierd dreams and this popped into my head. Don't ask.
And my "Venus" girl has been finished. The camera really doesn't capture the color right, which is a shame, it looks more vibrant in person. Mmmmmm, coloered pencil.
And finally, a sneak peak of something I've been working on the last week or so. Not my usual thing, but I like it. Wings are a pain to draw though, I'm out of practice I think... Or maybe it was just figuring out the positioning of three sets... Doubt there are many referances for that in the natural world (Although if someone finds a taxidermy piece with three wings you will be my hero).
Going to try to finish this before classes end, as well as the other landscape that is in progress. Might also try to post daily or every-other-daily sketchbook pages, keep up the motivation. Woot!Bree out :)
