New things to end the year on

In the midst of applying to new internship for the spring and staying warm (the house I'm living in isn't heated...), looking after two vivacious dogs, I've finally found time to photograph and list the patches I made a few weeks ago. Uploading is slow so I'll only list a few a day, I think (despite what it may look like sometimes, I do have a life). The patches have all bee photographed, so they'll be up followed by shirts, which is very exciting! I only got adult mediums this round, and have decided I don't like white shirts... so after this batch I'll be sticking to all black.

Four hours later. ..

Haha! I am finished! Made just about 50 new patches for the shop and 4 t-shirts. They'll be up by the end of the week!

And the holiday season is just about to sneak up on us, I would like to (well, not really, but I have to for "marketing" and blah blah blah, the sad side of loving to make stuff but disliking the impersonal sale side of it all) remind folks about my Etsy shop here where you can find all of these wonderful things. Links will be provided below each photo. I will be unable to ship anything between November 23rd and December 2nd, so be sure to order before this or be prepared to wait for a bit. To make sure everything arrives by Christmas, please order by December 15th. :)

Life Lately

Oh gosh have the last few months flown by. The end of October and our internships snuck up on us and we're going our separate ways.  I plan on sticking around Bainbridge island this winter, making things, doing odd jobs until February,  which is when I take off for New zealand! To make up for a lack of posts, here are some photos that may not habe made it to the blog in my absence. 

New things up in the shop!

Three new patches up in the shop! (you can find them here) The teeth & crystal patches are limited edition and won't be found on this cute fern fabric again. Also coming up soonish (next week or the one after) are new hobbit door patches & possibly geese patches as well, so keep and eye out!
     Grape harvest is upon us and work has been crazy. Have an idea for a large painting that I really want to do but it may have to wait...

Kinda there and kinda back again

     What a long week it has been (and in the best way may I add)! My mom came out for a few days and we went adventuring. I'm glad we have similar travel tastes- no exploring Seattle but finding good coffee shops in smaller towns and seeing nature whether it be the phosphorescence at Indianola dock or halfway up the side of Mt. Rainier. And it was great to also be able to share this with Robyn and Ariel; the other two-thirds of the Day Road Girls (Band( Lady Farmer Gang)). You can actually find Robyn's blog here.
     Everything was absolutely stunning, so I won't spoil it with text ;)

     I loved Mt. Rainier so much. Eventually I'd love to hike the entirety of the Wonderland Trail that goes around it but it is a 93 mile/ roughly 10 day hike so it won't happen for awhile.
     In other news I have a few ideas for larger pieces but those may take awhile. I'm also slipping back into poor sketchbooking habits so there hasn't been as much art happening lately which isn't all that great. Goal through September: SKETCHBOOK MORE. EVERYDAY. My mom also brought my sewing machine so I'll be able to start my quilt (and here begins the do I dye it myself or buy really pretty fabric debate) and sew a few items of clothing I've wanted to do for awhile.
     And now that I've finished work I'm all awake and stuff. For motivation I'm going to do my best to upload photos of my sketchbook pages as I finish them, every day or every other day as needed. Should be good.
